Pete Halter, Chairman of The Halter Companies, founded the firm in the late 70’s in response to the last major real estate recession. The company was retained as the exclusive agent for the former C&S Bank, now Bank of America, to assist in the completion, management, and sale of over 3,000 condominiums and other residential properties throughout the southeast. This relationship led to managing or joint-venturing new completion of the balance of existing properties, as well as design and development of new condominium communities with other institutions including: Georgia Federal Saving & Loan, HomeBanc, Chase Manhattan Bank, Chemical Bank, Royal Bank of Canada, Security Pacific Bank, National Bank of Minneapolis, and many others.
